Ultrasound at the point of care.

Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) is real-time bedside imaging performed and interpreted by your physician — no referral, no waiting weeks for a hospital booking.

It lets Dr. Azzam look at your organs, measure structure and blood flow, and make clinical decisions during your visit. Not a replacement for formal radiology, but a powerful tool for the proactive patient who wants to understand what's happening inside their body now.

POCUS is standard of care in emergency medicine and ICUs. At The Longevity Clinic we bring this capability to preventive and longevity medicine.

What we scan
Abdomen
Kidneys

Size, echogenicity, cortical thickness, cysts, stones, and hydronephrosis. Useful for those with hypertension, diabetes, or family history of kidney disease.

Abdomen
Liver

Liver echogenicity and size — an early marker for fatty liver (hepatic steatosis), which precedes metabolic disease and is frequently missed on routine bloodwork alone.

Abdomen
Gallbladder

Gallstones, wall thickening, and biliary sludge. Many gallstones are silent — knowing they're there informs dietary and treatment decisions.

Pelvis
Bladder

Post-void residual volume, wall thickening, and bladder morphology. Relevant for anyone with urinary symptoms or prostate concerns.

Vascular
Lower Extremity Vessels

Compression ultrasound of the deep veins of the legs to assess for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) — especially relevant for frequent travelers, post-surgical patients, or those with prior clots.

Coming soon
Aorta & Cardiac

Abdominal aortic aneurysm screening and basic cardiac views. Ask at your appointment about availability.
